He has over thirty-five years of professional forestry, natural resource, and fire management experience in the Southeast, Great Plains, Rocky Mountains, and Pacific Northwest. Throughout his career he has been a proponent of conservation, sustainable forestry and the responsible use of natural resources. Most of all, he loves his\u00a0job\u00a0and has\u00a0a real passion for the work he does!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Graduated in 1973 from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor&#8217;s of Science in Conservation and a Bachelor&#8217;s of Science in Forestry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A member of the Society of American Foresters since 1973<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>SAF Certified Forester #3272<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>USDA-Forest Service certified Silviculturist since 1981 and Regional Silviculturist, Rocky Mountain Region, 1999-2004<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Incident Command System qualified as Planning Section Chief<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bruce Short is the founder of Short Forestry.
